Blogging about blogging–I love it! Something I came across on Catholic Exchange again, about the Catholic Blogging Awards:
Just a link today (I’m working on a book review, plus I just watched Into Great Silence and am still a bit stunned…)
This is a link to a monastery of Carmelite monks in Wyoming who support themselves by producing gourment coffee:
Here’s the New Evangelization in action…and cut!! A young Catholic film school student blogs at:

Good stuff. People of faith need to do more than boycott movies that offend our beliefs. People of faith need to go to film school, learn how to make movies, and get involved in a segment of the popular culture that has been too long without the influence of Christians.

Go to the website of Relevant Radio:

…and go to the archives section. You have to sign in to get to the archives page. Then go to the archives page for Morning Air, where they have a one-hour segment with Rod Bennett, who talks about “It’s a Wonderful Life”, based on an article he wrote for Godspy called “The Gospel According the Frank Capra.” Towards the end of the interview he basically says that during the Golden Age of movies, the great moviemakers were all Catholics (Capra, Hitchcock, others). Worth a listen. Hurry, though, because they only keep the archives up for a couple weeks after the show airs. This interview aired December 19th, 2007.
Regina Doman has an article at Catholic Exchange today:

I added this and one or two others to the massive stack of Harry Potter links I published earlier:
Have fun!
I really enjoyed this blog–definitely worth checking out if you’re at all interested in science fiction/speculative fiction.
Something odd happened when I was there, though: I tried to leave them a comment, but every time I came near a link, it disappeared. (!) Oh well. I’ll try back later, meanwhile go here:
Just a couple links from over the weekend regarding the box office numbers of The Golden Compass:

“Box Office: Golden Compass disaster! Juno a record-breaker!”
(One of the comments—the 4th or 5th one down, so you don’t have to scroll too far—made me laugh. The commenter said “don’t mess with Catholics.” LOL!
I found a cool site: Gethsemane Garden Stones. She makes decorative pavers with Stations of the Cross, Divine Mercy, St. Francis, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Check it out!

108-year old Olive Riley blogs from New South Wales, Australia. If you go to Yahoo! today, there’s a charming video of her celebrating her birthday.

Note: When I tried the link tonight, it looked like the server down under was down (under). Hope it will work later today.

I might not be posting too much in the next week: I’m going with my family and a bunch of folks from church to the General Gathering of the Brothers and Sisters of Charity at Little Portion Hermitage in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It’s the community founded by John Michael Talbot. If I can get online I may post some things.
